Scottish SPCA Seeking Owner Of Wounded Cat

The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a severely wounded cat found in Glenrothes.

The Scottish SPCA were alerted on Sunday (26 April) when a member of the public discovered the injured feline on Cluny Place.

The male tabby cat, who has been named Geordie, is now in the care of our animal rescue and rehoming centre near Dundee.

Senior Inspector Steven Grey said, "Geordie was discovered with a particularly bad open wound on his back end.

"He also had around 60 smaller wounds on his underside, is severely underweight and has numerous broken teeth.

"Geordie received emergency vet treatment and is now recovering in our care.

"At this stage we don't know his Geordie sustained these injuries, even the vet could not say for sure.

"We would urge anyone who recognises him to get in touch with us by calling 03000 999 999."
